How sleds, trucks and trailers work here

🛷 Attached garage for sled staging

Pull the sleds in at the end of the day, hang the gear, ride straight out in the morning. The garage is not heated; it keeps the snow off, not the cold.

🚚 Trucks in the driveway, trailers at the lot

Subdivision roads are plowed narrow, so getting a trailer into the driveway can be tricky. Most guests leave the trailer at the public lot off Red Rock Road, a couple of blocks away (no overnight camping there), then drive up or ride the sleds up to the cabin and into the garage. Trucks fit in the driveway, which is about 20 ft wide.

🛻 Roads plowed, 4WD recommended

Roads are plowed all winter but get slippery in heavy snow, so 4WD is highly recommended November through April. One February guest: “The roads up to the house was plowed and we didn't have any issues getting to it (definitely recommend 4WD).” (Thomas, via Vrbo)

🗺️ Trails

Ride down the property onto the groomed trails along Hwy 20, part of the Island Park / Fremont County system with 500+ groomed miles. Check the grooming report before you ride. Yellowstone itself is guided or by permit only in winter; the snowcoach tours leave from West Yellowstone, 20 minutes away.
